Just in case anyone was concerned about my Chef Boyardee "meat" stint the other day, I have officially redeemed myself. Tonight, after a brutally hilly course on the gym's Expresso bike, I came home and actually cooked.  Like, with pans and fire.

Since I am highly impressionable and can't think for myself regarding matters of food, I bought these Shirataki noodles after reading a post by the other Sarah (as opposed to this Sarah).  Stay with me here.

I had never tried said Shirataki noodles, so upon reading the instructions, I boiled them for 3 minutes to separate them, then drained and schlepped them into a bowl.  I topped them with a plethora of stir-fried veggies (zucchini, squash, mushrooms, red peppers), and drizzled some Nama Shoyu on top when all was said and done.

The verdict?

DELICIOUS!  The shirataki noodles did have a rank smell when I first opened the package, but the smell was gone after I boiled them.  In fact, after boiling, they really didn't smell (or taste) like anything.  Not even like tofu.  Interesting.

I'll definitely purchase and eat them again.

And now, I'm off to bed.  First time in ages that I'll be in bed at 10PM.
