Right now, I'm trying to gear up for my first two triathlons this summer! This is a very exciting time for me, not only because of how far I've come personally, but also because I love biking and running.
Did I mention yet that I I don't have any idea how to swim?
Ok, that's a lie. I kind of have the concept (as it's been explained many times), but I have never been successful. Honestly, this is the area of training that I will need to place the most focus.
Biking is not something that I'm too worried about, since it comes a little more naturally for me than running (or swimming) ever has. If given the opportunity, I would have biked everywhere as a teenager, and I often biked upwards of 20 miles per day for fun. Also, living in the country as a teenager meant that if I wanted to get from point A to point B as quickly as possible, I needed to ride my bike.
The only roadblock at this point: I don't have a bike. Hopefully I'll have one soon. Until then, I will grudgingly reserve my spot on the stationary bike at the gym.
Whatever you do, just please keep an eye on me. I'm likely to need a kick in the pants every now and again!
